I am thankful for Destiny Churches & Ministries International as well as Dr. John and Nancy Burpee. In this day and age, it is truly hard to find amazing Christ Like Leaders who are willing to go the extra mile to help train and equip the Body of Christ. My wife and I are ordained Ministers through DCMI, and I can honestly say our lives have changed for the better. DCMI is a powerful Ministry filled with Spirit Filled Ministers and Ministries from all around the world. The Body of Christ needs to be connected and that is another thing I love about being a part of DCMI.

The connections, the advice and spiritual guidance that we receive from Dr. John and Nancy truly is valuable. The way they connect the Body of Christ with like-minded individuals is powerful. For me personally Dr. John has played a very important role in connecting me with ministries that have helped me go from Christian podcasting to having my own Christian TV Sho! Through Dr. John and Nancy my wife and I have learned better ways to minister to others and we have grown in our callings and giftings. Dr. John and Nancy mean the world to us, and we are thankful to God for their leadership, guidance, and their friendship.

I have known John and Nancy since the Brownsville Revival. They have been a blessing to me, my family, and my ministry in many ways. From just being there to talk, to strategizing and planning my ministry and helping me with Articles of incorporation and by-laws.

Their pursuit of God and His Kingdom is stellar, their integrity is to be admired. Their work in bringing the Kingdom to earth is something that I admire and covet to copy. Their Dream Lunch has directed and helped me immensely. I am very grateful to them for all they have done for us.

Dr. John and Nancy Burpee are true spiritual parents who serve others selflessly. They are passionate and skilled in affirming, equipping, and empowering others to live out their full potential and calling in God's Kingdom and do so in a spirit of true humility while showing honor and respect to those they help. Not once have I seen them impose their opinions on others. Dr. John Burpee is a strategic thinker. He has helped me push through limitations and develop strategies to move to the next level. There are very few people that are Kingdom minded; the Burpee's truly are. Why I value DCMI, this is easy. Though there are many who I have yet to meet, I sense there is this unique warp and woof of thread and color, like Joseph's coat of many colors. There is a divine expression and destiny in this garment. This weaving of such diverse colors and textures is not forced, coerced, or exacted from. It is out of honor and deference for those who have come to this weaver’s loom, that have been ordained and partnered with DCMI. 

I love seeing and hearing the camaraderie of such people of, like precious faith. This unique collection of people and their personal ministries have a safe haven of expression in this dream that John and Nancy have birthed. 

I have had the pleasure of knowing John and Nancy for 34 years now. John was instrumental in keeping me on track 34 years ago when I stepped out into full time ministry. At different junctures he has spoken into my life to prompt me to get to the next level. My wife and I have enjoyed their ministry, oversight, service, and friendship over these years. I served as John's Sr Associate and my wife facilitated as the Day Care Director for four years in Lincoln NE. What a kaleidoscope of events and experiences with these two over those 4 years. Good memories and challenges.

How could I ever forget having an office next door to Nancy...What fun!!

What is quite dear to my heart is the fact that this ministry, this couple, have the best desire for each and all who are in this Kingdom Fabric. John values what I carry and has displayed my expression and gifting for Father's glory, and my encouragement and growth. For this vision and care, I love and honor them. 

I greatly value John and Nancy Burpee and Destiny Churches & Ministries. Jesus took time to spend with his disciples, and like Jesus, John and Nancy are always available when I need to talk, or when I need advice about ministry issues, or even personal issues.  They are genuine and humble servants and even though they oversee many ministers, I never feel like I am in a hierarchical structure; I always sense that they are on my level and do not look down on me. I feel encouraged by them in my calling and really feel connected with them. They are a great blessing to me and very valuable to the Kingdom of God. 

What is very important to me in spiritual fathering is the fact that I can reach out and have someone who will listen to me, to validate but also push me forward. We all need an encouraging word but even more we need affirmation that we are on track in our assignment. Often those in ministry do not have a supportive community locally. It is so important to have those in our lives that we can be real with and experience no judgment as we share. I parallel this with how the Heavenly Father responds to us – with love, acceptance, and that push to never give up!!

While sitting at my desk, I was reflecting about my dad and the aspects I recognize are essential to being a true spiritual father, it keeps turning back to just one concept. I heard several excellent teachings and lessons on Sundays. It wasn’t the wisdom of the scripture or how many individuals he knew. It wasn’t the suits or the position of this man I call dad. One theme has persisted throughout as long as I can look back, and it doesn’t just relate to being a dad or spiritual father to me, but it likewise relates to the many he has been spiritual fathers to, and that is being genuine. The real deal. He has never sugar-coated anything in his life. Take him or leave him, he remains the same. He shoots from the hip. He delivers truth. He again and again cares for each one that has stepped into his life, and he keeps serving, inspiring, building up, and celebrating each milestone in others along the way. If I had to define him in one word, and I perceive many would acknowledge, he has steadily been genuine. I consider that is a key character attribute of being an authentic spiritual father. Dad, thank you for proving that to me time and time again.  I will be forever grateful for that life lesson. I pray this life lesson I have learned and observed throughout my life in our home and family will resonate with you as you see what I see in my dad, my spiritual father….a genuine man of God who wants not only that you would see your God given identity, gifts, and purpose but to be a real father figure along this journey we call life.
